GOP SENATORS SPOUT HOT AIR

THE REPUBLICANS in the U.S. Senate have once again proved that they are very adept at the art of spouting hot air, as witnessed by their attempt at blocking a full Senate vote on President Clinton's economic stimulus package.

The recent GOP filibuster is a very dangerous strategy for Sen. Bob Dole and his party to employ against legislation designed to create much-needed jobs. Republican senators should recall that former President Bush lost his bid for re-election because his practice of a lot of talk but no action resulted in his failure to heal the United States economy.
