OBIT-DULANEY, CLINTON SILAS
DULANEY, Clinton Silas, 91, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, April 29,
1993. He was a member of Peters Creek Church of the Brethren, was a retired
employee of Hodges Lumber Company and was an active gardener on Cove Road N.W.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Carmen Stephenson. He is survived by his
wife, Mrs. Mary Chafin Dulaney; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Ilonka
Dulaney, Wayne and Judy Dulaney, all of Roanoke; two daughters and
sons-in-law, Glenna and Bill Hammond, Salem, Shirley and Rodney Gearheart,
Dublin; 12 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Anna D.
Roop and Mrs. Ella D. Keith, both of Salem, and Mrs. Edna D. Wickham, Roanoke.
Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in Sherwood Memorial Park,
11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 1, with the Rev. Paris E. Bain officiating. In lieu
of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 4504
Starkey Road, Suite 115, Roanoke, VA 24014 or to the Alzheimer's Disease or
Related Disorders Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Roanoke, VA 24012. Friends may
call Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m.
and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
