BAND TO GIVE PERFORMANCE TUESDAY IN WYTHEVILLE

The 78-member Wytheville Community College Concert Band will give its spring concert Tuesday 4 at 8 p.m. in the George Wythe High School auditorium.

Admission to the concert is free.

The band, which was organized by Director Jack O. White three years ago, will feature its arrangement of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture."

The rest of the program includes music from the Broadway show "Hello, Dolly," pieces by pop composer Paul Simon and marches by John Philip Sousa.

The band also will perform at the Wytheville Community College's graduation ceremony May 14 and Wytheville's Wall of Honor ceremony in Withers Park on May 30.
