HELEN MARIE BOOTHE, a science teacher at Troutville Elementary School, has been selected to receive the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching.

Recipients of the award, chosen on the basis of teaching performance, education and related professional activities, receive a $7,500 grant to be used under their direction at their schools.
