The bride is the daughter of Brenda Hodges of Vinton and William Hodges of Richmond. The groom is the son of Shelby and Wayne Smith of Vinton. Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a fitted white bridal gown covered withdelicate chantilly lace. The Sabrinaneckline and long Gibson sleeves were accented by dangling pearls, beads and iridescent sequins. The satin chapel train was embellished with beaded appliques. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses interlaced with babies breath.
The maid of honor was Susan Gross, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Shelia Crosswhite, Krista Calhoun and Heather Spangler, all friends of the bride. The best man was Grover Wayne Smith, father of the groom. The groomsmen were David Crosswhite, Shawn Duff and Kenny Keith, all friends of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Missy Hodges, sister of the bride, and junior groomsman was Joshua Jones, cousin of the groom.Flowergirl was Brandy Hodges, sister of the bride. The groom's nephew, Patrick Carroll, was ringbearer. The guestbook was attended by Kristel Jenkins, friend of the bride. Wedding music was provided by pianist Woody Turner and soloist Debbie and Woody Turner. The reception was held at the Vinton War Memorial.
The bride is a graduate of William Byrd High School and is employed by The Ormond Shops in Roanoke. The groom is also a graduate of William Byrd High School and is employed by The Mews Apartments in Roanoke.
After a wedding trip to Orlando,Florida, the couple will reside in Roanoke.
