Rebecca Nixon Cox and Charles Ray Morris were united in marriage Saturday, May 8, 1993, at two in the afternoon at First Christian Church in Radford, Va. The Reverend Gina Rhea officiated. The reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

The matron of honor was Barbara C. Bove, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Judy C. Crowder, sister of the bride, Sandy C. Howard, sister of the bride, and Drema Sifford, friend of the bride. The flowergirl was Mary Lee Beamer, friend of the bride. The best man was C. Keith Crowder, brother-in-law of the bride. The groomsmen were Johnny Morris, cousin of the groom, Kenny Phillips, cousin of the groom, and Roger Bolen friend of the groom. The junior groomsman was Andrew H. Crowder, nephew of the bride. The ringbearer was Clinton C. Crowder, nephew of the bride.

Director of the wedding was Bronte Foster and director of the reception was Barbara Johnson. Guestbook attendant was Jolene Cox, aunt of the bride. Hostesses at the reception were Peggy Dunn, Marie Houseman, Mitzi Barnett, Sandra Beasley, Bette Beamer and Katie Day Beamer.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white satin gown with a square lace neckline, short puffed sleeves detailed in sequins and a full skirt falling into a train. The veil was made by Sandy Howard, sister of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Nixon Cox of Radford. She is employed by Montgomery Regional Hospital.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Morris of Christiansburg. He is employed by the News Messenger.

Following a honeymoon, the couple will make their home in Christiansburg.
