MITCHELL ANNIVERSARY

Dave and Margaret Mitchell celebrated their 60th anniversary with renewal of their wedding vows at a reception held at Hollins College on Saturday, April 10, 1993. It was hosted by their two children and daughter-in-law, Joyce Saunders of Salem and Bev D. Mitchell and wife, Joanne, of Vinton. The couple were married on Easter Sunday morning, April 16, 1933 at Melrose Presbyterian Church, Roanoke. Mrs. Mitchell is the former Margaret Hazel Dowdy. They have five grandsons. Mrs. Mitchell is retired from Leggetts Dept. Store and Mr. Mitchell is retired from Roanoke City Fire Dept.
