BOY, 9, DIES OF HEART ATTACK PLAYING BASEBALL

A 9-year-old Albemarle County boy who suffered a cardiac arrest during a Little League baseball game died Saturday, authorities said.

Brian Korbin died about 5:30 p.m. in the emergency room of the University of Virginia Hospital, hospital administrator David Haugh said.

Brian, a third-grader, had finished running around the bases and had gone into the dugout when he collapsed, coach Ron Parson said. The boy was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the scene and then taken to the hospital, Parson said.
