OBIT STEPHENS, MARY ELLEN

STEPHENS, Mary Ellen, 66, of Route 3, Ferrum, died Thursday evening, May 6, 1993, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born March 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Wilbur C. and Mabel McKnew Stevenson, and was a retired administrative technician with the Department of the Army. Surviving are two daughters, Faye Dennis of Marietta, Ga., and Joan Huff of Lutz, Fla.; two sons, Wayne A. Stephens of Cusseta, Ala., and Clyde W. Stephens of Rocky Mount, Va.; one sister, Wilma J. Parker of Glen Burnie, Md.; also surviving are eight grandchildren, April and Ralph Dennis, John, Nicholas, Brian and Daniel Huff, and Jennifer and Laura Stephens. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday at Lynch Chapel by the Rev. Bud D. Nichols. Visitation will begin 2 p.m. Saturday at Lynch Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
