OBIT BROWN, MCLAWRENCE
BROWN, McLawrence, ("Mack"), 72, of Radford, died Thursday, May 6, 1993 at
the Radord Community Hospital after a short illness. He was born December 4,
1920 in Radford, the son of the late Kenny Brown and Maria Randolph Brown. He
was a veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was
a retired employee of Crestar Bank, Radford. He leaves to cherish his memory
his loving wife, Carrie Lewis Brown, Radford; one daughter, Doris Brown
Dobbins, Radford; three sons, Rev. Wallis Brown, Radford, Douglas L. Brown,
Tabb and Walter R. Brown, Columbus, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; six brothers,
George Brown, Cedric Brown, Paul Brown, Jack Brown, all of Radford; James R.
Brown, New River; Lee Roy Brown, Christiansburg; one son-in-law, Henley R.
Dobbins, Radford; three daughters-in-law, Faye Brown, Frances Brown, and
Theronette Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services
will be Monday at 1 p.m. from the First Baptist Church, West St., Radford,
with Dr. William Weldon officiating. Burial will be in the Lewis Family
Cemetery, Fairlawn. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at
the church. Claytor-Alexander & Penn Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
