HORSE SHOW PLANNED AT MOLES STABLES

The 14th annual horse show sponsored by the Modern Woodmen of America and the Floyd County Volunteer Fire Department Station 2 of Willis will be held May 23 at Earl Moles Stables on Virginia 727 in the Buffalo Mountain section of Floyd County.

Twenty-two classes including show pleasure racking, ladies Western pleasure, model horse English, Texas barrel racing and fastest horse around the ring will be held. Trophies and ribbons will be awarded to winners.

A full-size quilt will be auctioned and hot dogs, barbecue and baked goods will be sold.

Entry fee for competitors is $5, except for racking stake class which is $6, and lead line which is $3. Gate admission is $2 per person.
