LOAN ASSISTANCE FOR BLIZZARD DAMAGE

President Clinton has designated all Virginia counties and several cities as eligible for Farmers Home Administration emergency loan assistance for damage suffered during the March blizzard. Cities include Radford and Galax.

Farmers have until November to apply for loans to help cover part of their actual losses. To be eligible, farmers must have suffered production or physical losses during the period March 13-17, 1993.

Production losses must meet the 30 percent requirement of normal production.

For more information, New River Valley farmers can visit the Farmers Home Administration office at 203 W. Depot St., or call 382-0267.
