U.S. District Judge Richard A. Enslen granted a defense motion in the Lansing woman's $2 million lawsuit to include her real name in 35 days. Since the lawsuit was filed in October, she has been referred to as Jane Doe.
Johnson's attorney, Howard Weitzman, argued that the release of the woman's identity was necessary to learn about her past sexual behavior.
In November, Enslen ordered the woman's identity to remain secret to protect her young daughter. But he said continuing to keep the name confidential unfairly hindered Johnson's lawyers as they prepared their case. - Associated Press
