OBIT-KAST, DONALD LEE

KAST, Donald Lee, 59, of Gold Bond, died Wednesday, May 12, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. Born in Gold Bond, he was a son of the late James David and Virginia Jennie Kast. He was a veteran of U. S. Navy and was retired from the Virginia Department of Highways. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Davidson Kast; one son and daughter-in-law, James Edward and Lisa Ferrell Kast, Narrows; five daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy and Douglas Montgomery of Pembroke, Dreama Brogan, Christiansburg, Pamela Kast, Rachael Havens, and Mary Alice Havens, all of Gold Bond; three brothers, Alfred Kast, Pembroke, Lacy Kast, Gap Mills, W. Va., Emmitt Kast, Union, W. Va.; six sisters, Gladys Wood, Peterstown, W. Va., Gladiola Dolinger, Pembroke, Ivy Eanes, Christiansburg, Rowena Harvey, Union, W.Va., Ellen Davis, Rock, W. Va., Wanda Hayes, Lancaster, Ohio; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel, Pembroke. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
