SINGING AT YANKEE GAME

A group of Christiansburg High School choral students is opening Sunday's New York Yankees-Toronto Blue Jays baseball game with the U.S. and Canadian national anthems.

The group was invited to sing the anthems by Yankees owner George Steinbrenner. They will sing the Canadian anthem in French.

The students of choral teacher Charlotte Smith are in New York as part of a three-day field trip that also includes sightseeing and the Broadway shows "Phantom of the Opera" and "Crazy for You."
