EXTRAVAGANZA DAY FOR FITNESS CENTER

An Extravaganza Day to raise money for the new Cougar Physical Fitness Center at Pulaski County High School will be held May 29 at the Kenneth J. Dobson Stadium.

A raffle offering a $2,000 grand prize will be among the activities.

Other prizes include a $1,000 diamond ring from Ginger's Jewelry and a $500 chaise lounge from Draper Mercantile.

Raffle tickets are $2 each, $5 for three or $15 for a book of 10. The winners will be decided by a cow, dubbed "Ms. Physical Fitness," who will be left to roam over a field with numbered 3-by-3-foot squares corresponding to the raffle ticket numbers.

The first prize will be to the number on the square the first time the cow is subject to a call of nature. The next two squares will be the second and third prizes.

The fund-raiser is known as the "Meadow Muffin Madness" raffle. It will be between 7:30 and 8 p.m.

There also will be a stadium show from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with live music by the Country Classics, and from 8 to 10 p.m. with Don and the Deltones. Admission is $3 per individual or $5 per family.

Arts and crafts will be displayed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in booths next to the stadium and food will be available. A flea market will open at noon.

Extravaganza Day will end with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.

It is hosted by the school and Fitness Center Committee.
