OBIT LITTLE, VERNON THOMAS
LITTLE, Vernon Thomas, ("Tom"), 66, of Roanoke, died Sunday, May 16, 1993
at his home. He attended the University of Kentucky and Concord College. He
was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corp. He was
retired from the Motive Power Division of Norfolk Southern Railway. Survivors
include his wife, Hazel Jones Little of Roanoke; two daughters and a
son-in-law, Dawn Little of Roanoke, Sue Little Knowles and Eric Knowles of
Charlottesville; one son, David T. Little of Chatham; mother and stepfather,
Mabel Little Stamper and Sam Stamper of Princeton, W.Va.; one sister, Celia
Morgan of Deland, Fla.; one brother, Elvin Little of Johnson City, Tenn. He
was preceded in death by his father, Vernon W. Little and brother, Roger W.
Little. A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Park Cemetery in
Princeton, W.Va. 1 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to
the Good Samaritan Hospice, 4235 Colonial Ave, Roanoke, Va. 24018 or to the
charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
