OBIT KING, JAMES WINTON
KING, James Winton ("Uncle Jimmy"), 93, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, May 19,
1993. Mr. King has worked for American Viscose for 37 years, drove a school
bus for Roanoke County Schools; was an employee at Skirters, Wells Fargo; and
also a security guard for State Security Agency. He was the oldest living
charter member of Vinton Moose Lodge #1121. Mr. King is survived by his wife,
Doschie L. King; two daughters and sons-in-law, India Sue and Tommy England of
Hardy, and Margaret Ann and Charlie Petruzzo, Bowie, Maryland; one sister,
Mary Jane King of Wytheville; five grandchildren, Shane Moorman, Travis
Moorman, Mary Margaret Petruzzo, Teresa Marie Petruzzo and Bill Petruzzo; two
great-grandsons, Nicholas Moorman, Zachary Moorman; and numerous nieces and
nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 21, 1993, at noon at the
Lotz Vinton Chapel with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will be in
Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. at the Lotz Vinton Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the
Vinton Lifesaving Crew.
