The Indians ended Detroit's three-game winning streak and improved to 11-7 at home. Cleveland is 6-18 on the road.
Fielder reached the upper deck in left in the top of the fourth inning with his seventh home run, estimated at 430 feet, but Belle duplicated the feat in the bottom of the inning when his major league-leading 14th home run landed within a few feet of Fielder's blast. Belle equaled a career high with four of Cleveland's 15 hits.

\ Rangers 6, Angels 4: At Arlington, Texas, Juan Gonzalez hit his second two-run homer of the game, connecting with two outs in the 10th, lifting Texas past California. Gonzalez, who tied the score at 4 with a home run in the eighth, is tied with Albert Belle for the major league lead with 14 homers. Gonazalez homered in the eighth off Joe Grahe.
\ Athletics 12, White Sox 11: At Chicago, Rickey Henderson hit a three-run homer in the eighth, then smacked a two-run triple and scored in the ninth, rallying Oakland past Chicago.
The A's trailed 10-4 in the eighth, but Henderson's fourth homer highlighted a five-run burst. Oakland trailed 11-9 in the ninth when Dave Sveum drew a one-out walk from Roberto Hernandez (0-1) and Mike Bordick singled. With the runners going, Henderson tied it with a triple, and he scored on Brent Gates' sacrifice fly.
Robin Ventura homered twice and drove in four runs for the White Sox.
\ Brewers 9, Orioles 3: At Baltimore, Kevin Reimer's first career grand slam highlighted a six-run third inning that carried Milwaukee Brewers past Baltimore.
\ Royals 2, Mariners 1: At Kansas City, Phil Hiatt ripped a two-run homer in the seventh inning, ending Randy Johnson's scoreless streak at 20 innings, and rallying the Royals past Seattle.
Harvey Pulliam reached on an error by third baseman Mike Blowers to start the seventh and Hiatt hit the first pitch for his fourth home run, and first since April 16.
\ Blue Jays 11, Twins 2: At Toronto, Jack Morris, making his first start since returning from the disabled list, pitched seven strong innings and the Blue Jays smacked four homers in routing Minnesota. Darnell Coles hit a three-run shot, and Darrin Jackson followed with a home run, sparking a five-run Toronto sixth. Morris (2-4), who had been out with tendinitis in his shoulder, allowed two runs on five hits.
\ Dodgers 8, Rockies 0: In Los Angeles, Orel Hershiser pitched a five-hitter for his first shutout in four seasons, leading Los Angeles over Colorado. Hershiser (5-4), who had reconstructive shoulder surgery in April 1990, struck out seven and walked none. Los Angeles, which won its fourth straight, sent the Rockies to their 15th loss in 17 games. Tim Wallach hit a two-run single and a sacrifice fly for the Dodgers.
\ Cardinals 10, Pirates 8: At Pittsburgh, St. Louis blew a five-run lead as Lee Smith allowed home runs to Orlando Merced and Lloyd McClendon, then beat the Pittsburgh on pinch-hitter Gerald Perry's two-run single in the 11th inning. Pittsburgh trailed 7-2 before twice tying the game on homers, Merced's two-run pinch drive in the eighth and McClendon's two-out solo shot in the ninth.
Cardinal Ozzie Smith tied Larry Bowa's National League record by playing in his 2,222nd game at shortstop. Smith now trails only Luis Aparicio (2,581) in games played at shortstop.
\ Marlins 5, Cubs 3: In Miami, right fielder Junior Felix nearly cost Florida the game by dropping a flyball, then hit a two-out, two-run homer in the eighth to lead the Marlins past Chicago.
Chicago failed to capitalize on Felix's error in the eighth, which helped the Cubs load the bases with one out against Trevor Hoffman. Pinch-hitter Rey Sanchez then struck out looking, and Dwight Smith grounded out to the mound.
In the bottom of the eighth, Benito Santiago singled against Paul Assenmacher (1-1) with two outs. Felix then hit an 0-2 pitch over the left-field scoreboard for his sixth home run.
\ Expos 6, Phillies 2: At Philadelphia, Ken Hill won for the first time in four starts, allowing two hits in 6 innings as Montreal dealt Philadelphia a rare home loss.
The setback was only the Phils' fifth in 21 home games.
Hill (5-0) gave up both runs. Reliever Mel Rojas pitched two-hit relief for his sixth save.

\ Athletics 4, Royals 1: At Kansas City, Dale Sveum tripled in two runs in the 12th inning as Oakland rallied past Kansas City. Notes
\ BRAVES SAY SANDERS DEAL DONE: Outfielder Deion Sanders was back in uniform for the Atlanta Braves on Friday, and has agreed to terms on a three-year deal for about $11 million to become a full-time baseball player. Sanders took batting practice before the game against the New York Mets but he did not play.
\ REDS MOVES: Right-hander Steve Foster, one of Cincinnati's most reliable relievers this year, was put on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in the right shoulder and biceps tendinitis. Foster was 2-2 with a 1.46 ERA in 16 relief appearances.
\ A'S MCGWIRE DISABLED: First baseman Mark McGwire of the Oakland Athletics was placed on the 15-day disabled list because of a sore left heel. McGwire, will be eligible for the active roster on May 29.
\ EXPOS OPTION NABHOLZ: Montreal optioned pitcher Chris Nabholz to Triple-A Ottawa. Nabholz was 3-4 with a 6.10 ERA in 38 innings this season.
