BURCH-VADEN

Rhonda Jean Vaden and Quintin Lee Burch were united in marriage Sunday, May 16, 1993, at three in the afternoon at Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Raymond Powers, who was assisted by Reverend John Hopkins. The reception was held at Slussher's Chapel.

The matron of honor was CarrieVaden, sister-in-law of the bride. The bridesmaids were Melanie Wall, cousin of the bride, and Benita Mash, friend of the bride. The flowergirls were Jessica Burch, daughter of the groom, and Brooke Vaden, niece of the bride. The best man was Chuck Gallo, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Randall Burch, brother of the groom, and Bryan Rice, friend of the groom. The ushers were Rodney Vaden and Rusty Vaden, brothers of the bride. The ringbearer was Joshua Vaden, nephew of the bride.

Director of the wedding was Lois Wade, and director of the reception was Delores Wall. Guestbook attendant was Ryan Vaden, brother of the bride. Hostesses at the reception were BelindaAldridge, Vera Hodge, Patsy Keith, and Gay Stafford.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white satin gown with a Queen Anne neckline with gibson sleeves fitted at the wrist. The bodice was accented with chantilly lace, pearls and sequins. The skirt was full with a bow at the back waist, and the cathedral train was edged with delicate schiffli lace.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Vaden, of Blacksburg. She is employed by Virginia Tech and attends graduate school.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Loy Burch, of Blacksburg. He is employed by The Repairman Heating and Air.

Following a honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains, the couple will reside in Blacksburg.
