OBIT NININGER, EDWARD CLAGETT
NININGER, Edward Clagett, 82, of Roanoke died Sunday, May 23, 1993 in a
local hospital. He was born in Roanoke, August 26, 1910, the son of Marshall
Lee and Helen N. Nininger. He was a retired associate professor from Va.
Western Community College. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Roanoke,
Roanoke Host Lions Club and was past president of the Roanoke Real Estate
Board. Surviving him are his wife, June P. Nininger of Roanoke; his son,
Edward P. (Ted) Nininger; his daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Peter
Hegedus, Mary and David Green; grandchildren, Clifton and Suzanne (Suzy)
Green, all of Houston, Texas; a sister, Emily N. Pipkin; several nieces and
nephews in Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis P. Strosnider of Sidney, Ohio.
Funeral services will be at the graveside in Fair View Cemetery 1 p.m.
Thursday, May 27, 1993 with Dr. Charles G. Fuller officiating. The family
suggest memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity. The family
will receive visitors from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
