OBIT RIGGS, KENNETH E.

RIGGS, Kenneth E., 58, of Troutville, died Monday, May 24, 1993. He was a member of the Roswell Baptist Church, Roswell, Ga., and a member of the Botetourt Country Club. He was a retired employee of the Norfolk Southern Corporation with 35 years service. He was a graduate of Central High School, Chattanooga, Tenn. He attended Guilford College, Greensboro, N.C. and Northern Va. Community College, Alexandria, Va., and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Hixson Riggs; four daughters, Kimberly Gould and Kathryn Riggs of Acworth, Ga., Suzanna Michelena, Lawrenceville, Ga., Sharon English, Norcross, Ga.; his mother, Mrs. Gladys York Riggs, Chattanooga, Tenn.; two brothers, Douglas Riggs, Seattle Wash., Carl Riggs, S.C.; five grandchildren, Sarah Riggs, Kenneth Riggs, Matthew Michelena, Nathan Michelena, and Rachel English. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home, Hixson, Tenn. Burial will be in the Hixson Family Cemetery. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel, Roanoke, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
