OBIT OYLER, IDA NICHOLS

OYLER, Ida Nichols, 79, of Moneta, formerly of Salem, died Sunday, June 13, 1993, at Lewis-Gale Hospital. She was a longtime Salem resident. She was a housewife, and a member of Mt. Ivy Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John (Hamp) Oyler. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Jerry K. and Virginia L. Oyler, Moneta, Lewis and Betty Nichols, Roanoke; a granddaughter, Yvonne M. Oyler, Roanoke; mother-in-law, Mary M. Oyler, Roanoke; several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 2 p.m., in the John M. Oakey and Son Chapel by the Rev. J. D. Hunt III. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends tonight at the funeral home from 7 to 9. Contributions may be made to the Scruggs Volunteer Rescue Squad. John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem are in charge of arrangements.
