GOVERNOR SELECTS 2 FOR VA. COMMISSIONS

John P. Fishwick Jr. of Roanoke and Sharon R. Chickering of Blacksburg have been appointed to state boards by Gov. Douglas Wilder.

Fishwick will serve on the Commission to Study the Commonwealth's Sentencing and Parole Policies and the Need to Establish "Truth in Sentencing."

Chickering was reappointed to a one-year term on the State Advisory Council to the National Legal Services Corporation.
