WOOD, Virginia Douthat, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, June 26, 1993.
She was a former school teacher having taught at Jefferson High School and
retired from Patrick Henry High School. She was the daughter of the late Harry
G. and Anna L. Douthat and was the widow of Richard F. Wood. She was preceded
in death by her sister, Mrs. Paul O. (Betty) Dickey. She is survived by her
homemakers and devoted friends, Barbara Evans, Carolyn Loyd, Norma Evans and
Amy Holbrook. Services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at St. Paul's
Episcopal Church by Rev. Robert T. Copenhaver, with burial in Evergreen Burial
Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel.
