BLACKSBURG SWIMMERS PLACE THIRD IN MEET

Grant Throckmorton won his age group as the South West Aquatic Team of Blacksburg finished third in the recent 1993 Holston Valley Hospital Invitational Swim Meet.

Throckmorton finished first overall in the boys' 8-and-under age group while SWAT teammate Tommy Evans came in third.

Jamie Rogers (girls 13-14) and Brian Manning (boys senior) also finished third in their divisions.

The 10-and-under boys' relay teams won the medley and 200-meter freestyle relay races.
