OBIT-WIRSING, MISS. MARY MCCLAIN
WIRSING, Miss. Mary McClain, of Roanoke, died in a Roanoke hospital
Wednesday. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and The Daughters of
the American Revolution and was retired from the Treasurer's Office for the
City of Roanoke. Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas R.
Wirsing Jr. and Louisa Easley Wirsing, Roanoke; two nephews, Thomas R. Wirsing
III, Bolder, Colo., Whitwell C. Wirsing, Novato, Calif.; one niece, Anne
Wirsing Burnham, Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral services will be conducted in
the chapel at Second Presbyterian Church, 11 a.m. Friday, by Dr. A. Taylor
Todd. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family
suggest memorials be made to the Second Presbyterian Church or a favorite
charity. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
