OBIT-WRIGHT, HAROLD LLOYD, ("JOHN") ("BIG DADDY")
WRIGHT, Harold Lloyd, ("John") ("Big Daddy"),68, of Radford, died
Wednesday, June 30, 1993, in Radford Community Hospital. He was preceded in
death by his father, Sidney Clarence Wright and a brother, J. B. Wright. He
retired in 1989 from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant after 37 1/2 years of
service. He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of American Legion
Post #7 Pulaski, Va. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen C. Wright, Radford; two
daughters and sons-in-law, Dana and Ned Pugh, Radford, Joanie and Steve Greer,
Pulaski County; his mother, Myrtle Spraker Wright, Wytheville; seven sisters,
Irene W. Matthews, Betty Ashford, Josaphine Dalton, Agnes Reynolds, and Janice
Horton, all of Wytheville, Katherine McRoberts, Max Meadows, and Mary W. Rash,
Oak Ridge, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Stephanie Greer, Ashley Greer, Terri
Pugh, and Jeff Pugh. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the DeVilbiss
Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Carrico officiating. Entombment will follow
in Highland Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Friday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford.
