OBIT-BRUMFIELD, ROBERTA WORLEY

BRUMFIELD, Roberta Worley, 87, of Route 3, Gretna, died Wednesday, June 30, 1993, in Danville Regional Medical Center. Born November 14, 1905, in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Sam Henry Worley and Florence Dove Worley. She was married to Dewey Brumfield, who predeceased her. Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Herman W. and Ynell Brumfield of Roanoke, Dennis Brumfield of Gretna; two daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and H. H. Scott of Ridgeway, Vene and Euell Hamblett of Rocky Mount; seven brothers, Price Worley of Montvale, Wilford Worley, David Worley, and Lee Worley, all of Gretna, Clay Worley of Lynchburg, Charlie Worley of Alexandria and Douglas Worley of Mt. Pleasant, N.C.; two sisters, Annie Dalton of Gretna and Gladys Light of Roanoke; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Raymond Goad, Elder Marvin Brumfield, and the Rev. Bert Johnson. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends today (Friday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna.
