OBIT FLORA, FORREST DAVID
FLORA, Forrest David, 92, of Roanoke, died Friday, July 2, 1993. He was
born May 30, 1901. One of ten children born to Elizabeth and Henry Flora of
Franklin County. In his youth, he became a member of Antioch Brethren Church,
later years, a member of (Disciples of Christ) West Hampton Christian Church.
Mr. Flora worked for American Viscose for 34 years, and retired from Lotz
Funeral Home, after 17 years. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Fielder Flora;
a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Charles Tanner; two grandchildren, Vicki
Michelle Tanner, and Jason Scott Tanner; also many respected nieces and
nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 5, 1993, from the
Lotz Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Paul D. Matheny and the Rev. Walter Bingham
officiating. Burial to follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Franklin County. The
family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Lotz
Roanoke Chapel.
