The 13-year-old boy died June 22 in a tractor accident.
His parents said he enjoyed and worked hard in many 4-H activities, and looked forward every year to 4-H camp activities and seeing his friends there. The camp was held last week at the Southwest Virginia 4-H Center in Abingdon.
Todd had his own registered Horned Dorset flock and showed his lambs and breeding stock not only in Virginia but in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
On the day before his accident, he showed his market lambs at the Southwest Virginia Market Lamb Show at Dublin, where he captured several awards with his lambs, record book and showmanship.
He served as president of the 4-H Club at Scott Memorial Elementary School, where he had completed seventh grade this month. He would have attended George Wythe High School this fall.
He had won first place in the physical science category at April's Blue Ridge Science Fair at Wytheville Community College, co-sponsored by Wytheville and New River Community Colleges.
R.T. Phillips, the principal at his school, said a tree would be planted there in Todd's memory.
