Virginia Fiske Johnson and PriceRobert Mutter were married June 26, 1993 in
Christ Episcopal Church, Raleigh, North Carolina, followed by a reception at
Carolina Country Club. The matron of honor was Grace Johnson McGoogan of
Charlotte, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Mary Grady Bell,
AnneBoney, Susan Johnson, Cathy Jurgensen, Torrey Munford, Elizabeth
Robertson, Nancy Steelman, of Raleigh, Harriet Bonds of Walterboro, S.C.,
Carol Burns of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Mary Duke Grubbe of Paletine, Il. The
best man was Cabell Richard Mutter of New York City, brother of the groom. The
groomsmen were Robert Penn of Salem, Jay Stafford of Johnson City, Tenn., Jon
Pace, Michael Brogan and Nicholas Costas, of Richmond, Alexander Jordan, James
Condrey, Alexander Roddey, of Washington, D.C., Worth Remick of Norfolk,
Pierre Stouse of New Orleans and Richard Johnson, Jr. of Raleigh, N.C.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mitchell Johnson of Raleigh,
attended St. Mary's Junior College in Raleigh and the University of North
Carolina in Chapel Hill.
The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. McKinley Price Mutter of Roanoke, is a
graduate of Salem High School and The University of Virginia. After a wedding
trip to Portugal, the newlyweds will live in Arlington, Va.
