Donna Renee Hatcher Riley and Leonard Daniel Wright were married June 19,
1993, in Green Hill Church of the Brethren with Reverend Dee Flory
officiating. The reception was held at the church fellowship hall. The matron
of honor was Sherry H. Viars, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Melody S.
Palmer, cousin of the bride. Flowergirl was April Walters, cousin of the
bride. The best man was Christopher A. Wright, nephew of the groom. Usher was
Dr. Joseph P. Tomelty, best friend of the groom, and Dr. Tomelty also was the
candlelighter. Jennifer Crawford attended the guestbook. Program attendants
were Kimberly Agee and Kimberly Jenkins. Reception attendants were Jean Garst
and Brenda Jenkins. Soloist was Teresa Walter. Bridal Consultant, Vicki
Dalton; photography, Berry Photo; cake, Marcella Muncy. The bride's wedding
gown was made of ivory taffeta and satin. It had a sweetheart neckline that
was detailed with beaded lace. The fitted bodice flowed to a shirred satin
sash and beaded lace medallion. It had fine lace over taffeta with a graduated
hemline and a V-back. She carried a cascading bouquet of ivory roses and
teal-dipped carnations with an accent of pearls and green ivy. Bridal
attendants dresses were made by Clara Saunders. Flowergirl dress made by
Jewell Clark and Patsy Lovall. The bride is the daughter of James D. and
Frances M. Hatcher of Salem. She graduated from Salem High School and attended
Virginia Western Community College. The bride is employed by Blue Ridge
Sporting Supplies as a secretary. The bridegroom is the son of Leonard A. and
Irene L. Wright of Salem. He graduated from Salem High School and Virginia
Western Community College. He is employed by Blue Ridge Sporting Supplies as
an assistant manager. The newlyweds will live in Salem after a wedding trip to
Walt Disney World in Florida.
