OBIT-COMBS, CHARLES GASTON

COMBS, Charles Gaston, 63, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, July 3, 1993, at his residence. He was retired from Kroger. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles David and Sandra Combs; four daughters, Barbara Jackson, Ruth Combs, Bea (Hoppy) Combs, Susie Hartless, all of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Teresa, Buster, Squirt, Davy and Brandy; a great-granddaughter, Toni; a brother, Tommy Combs, Roanoke; a sister, Mary Barker, Bristol, Tenn. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside in Cedarlawn Memorial Park Tuesday, 1 p.m., with Elwood McAllister, Minister officiating. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday.
