OBIT-REED, BESSIE R.

REED, Bessie R., 95, of Floyd, died Sunday, July 4, 1993, at Pulaski Healthcare Center after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Elsie Reed. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Russell Nichols of Lynchburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ervin and Lorraine Reed of Copper Hill, Merrill and Betty Reed of Marion, H. Clyde and Lois of Floyd; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Pleasant Valley Church with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment in the Church Cemetery follows. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Floyd County Rescue Squad. Family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, at Wood Funeral Home.
