OBIT-HICKMAN, JOSIAH MILTON

HICKMAN, Josiah Milton, 77, of Glasgow, died Friday, July 2, 1993, in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Mr. Hickman was born September 8, 1915, in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Charles Hickman and Martha Nicely Hickman. He was a member of the Natural Bridge Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Thelma G. Hickman, Glasgow; two sons; Gene Milton Hickman, Greensboro, N.C., Joe Mac Hickman, Glasgow; one daughter, Rebecca H. Varner, Woodbridge; one stepdaughter, Tamara H. Slough, Roanoke; one stepson, James M. Hickman Jr., Glasgow; one sister, Martha H. Craft, Lexington; four grandchildren and one stepgrandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, July 5, 1993, at the Harrison Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Timothy Madison and Dr. D. B. Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Natural Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Sunday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
