The Christiansburg Department of Parks and Recreation and Quantum Leap Fitness Consultants are holding track clinics at Christiansburg High School.

Two clinics Thursday at 6:30 p.m. are the discus, taught by Mike Sargent, assistant track and field coach at Virginia Tech, and hurdles coached by Mike LaBrie, a high school and college coach.

On July 14 at 6:30 p.m., sprints will be taught by Bob Sandy, track coach at Auburn High School.

The series concludes July 16 with the high jump, also coached by Sandy.

The clinics last about two hours and a minimum age of 12 is recommended.

The cost is $5 per clinic for town residents and $10 for nonresidents.
