DISASTER AID OK'D FOR PULASKI

The Virginia Department of Emergency Services has approved an application from the town of Pulaski for $22,756 for disaster money resulting from the March blizzard.

The money is from Federal Emergency Management Agency funds intended to partly reimburse the town for expenses during the heavy snows. Mike Jenkins, the town's public works director, prepared the application for the funds.

The money will go to the town's Public Works Department to lessen the storm's impact on the department's 1992-93 budget.
