`LONG WAY HOME' ACTORS AT FESTIVAL

Actors from "The Long Way Home" will be among the performers at the fourth annual Blue Ridge Heritage Festival Saturday at the Factory Merchants Mall.

It will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. featuring arts, crafts and mountain music by people from 19 counties.

Mall Manager Janet Blair said she has been getting calls since January from people wanting to participate in this year's event, and extended the day's activities by two hours beyond the planned schedule.

She conceived it as a way of helping to preserve the crafts of the region.

Crafts items will be on sale.

Representatives of tourism attractions represented in Virginia Southwest's Blue Ridge Highlands Inc. will be on hand with information about their enterprises.

Admission is free.

Further information is available by calling 228-3211.
