Medicine academy's auxiliary elects officers

Marion Kunkle has been elected president of the Roanoke Academy of Medicine Auxiliary.

Other 1993-94 officers include: Susanne Royster, president-elect; Lori Silberblatt, vice president; Diane Althouse, recording secretary; Ann Rutherford, corresponding secretary; Karen Feldenzer, treasurer; and Beth Durham, assistant treasurer.

The auxiliary also received awards during the Medical Society of Virginia

Roanoke County names 2 assistant principals

The Roanoke County School Board has announced two administrative changes for the 1993-94 school year.

Joyce E. Williams has been named assistant principal at William Byrd High School, and Sherry A. Bryant has been named teaching assistant principal at W.E. Cundiff Elementary School.

Williams has taught at Byrd, Glenvar High, Cave Spring Junior and William Byrd Middle schools. She received a bachelor of science degree from Radford University and a master of arts degree from Virginia Tech.

Bryant, who has taught at Cundiff and Glenvar elementary schools, also has taught in Roanoke. She received a bachelor of science degree and a master's degree from Radford.
