PROGRAM OFFERS AFRICAN STORIES

Hadassah Stowe will appear at area libraries as part of the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library's Summer Reading Program. Stories from ancient Africa and use of traditional African instruments and chants will accompany her stories.

Show times are Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Christiansburg Headquarters Library, 125 Sheltman St.; 2 p.m. at the Jessie Peterman Library in Floyd; and 7 p.m. at the Blacksburg Area Branch Library, 400 Draper Road.

Repeat performances will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Blacksburg library and at 2 p.m. at the Christiansburg library.

Seating is limited and is on a first come, first seated basis.
