UVa officials announced Friday they have sold 22,152 season tickets for the 1993 season, and school officials say they expect sales to exceed 23,000 for the third consecutive season.
"Our season-ticket sales, along with our commitment to those two schools [Tech and North Carolina], has exhausted the supply of tickets for those games," said Dick Mathias, the school's assistant director of athletics for ticket office management.
Season tickets for the six-game home schedule are $112 each and are available by calling (804) 924-8821 or (800) 542-8821 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. `Hooville season tickets, located in the south end zone at Scott Stadium, also remain available for $52 each.
Single-game tickets, priced at $18 each, go on sale Monday.

Second-seeded Rob Swaltzer of West Virginia defeated McDonald, the top seed, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 at Old Dominion University.
Virginia Tech's swimming programs have joined the Eastern Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association for the 1993-94 season.
The Hokies had been competing as an independent because the Metro Conference does not sponsor swimming. They were accepted by the league, along with former Metro member Cincinnati, and will compete in the 1994 championships March 2-5 at Cleveland State University.
Other league members are Cleveland State, George Washington, Maryland-Baltimore County, UNC Wilmington, Notre Dame, Rutgers, St. Bonaventure, Western Kentucky and West Virginia.
Lou Wacker, Emory and Henry College's football coach and athletic director, will remain hospitalized at least until Monday while undergoing tests to determine the cause of chest pains he suffered Monday, the school said in a statement released Friday. Wacker is in the coronary care unit at Holston Valley Community Hospital in Kingsport, Tenn.
