OBIT AUSTIN, KOLETA BELL SHORT
AUSTIN, Koleta Bell Short, 59, of Rt. 4, Amherst, died Thursday morning,
July 8, 1993, at her home. She was the widow of the late Rudolph Wilson
Austin. Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Victory
Allen and Willie Sutherland Short. She was a practical nurse and a member of
First Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. She is survived by two sons, Alfred
Austin, Amherst, Bobby Wilson, and wife, Betty Sue Austin, Roanoke; two
brothers, Billy Short, Franklin County, D. J. Short, Roanoke; a sister, Jessie
McCollom; a granddaughter, Heather Austin; two stepgrandchildren, Eric and
Melissa Rinehart, all of Roanoke. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m.
Saturday at Piney River Funeral Home with burial in Franklin Memorial Park at
3 p.m.
