OBIT FREDIN, DALE C.
FREDIN, Dale C., 77, of Lexington, died Thursday, July 8, 1993, at his
home. Mr. Fredin was formerly of Middletown, Ohio, was born October 9, 1915,
in Greenville, Iowa, and a son of the late Swan F. Fredin and Dagma Chalstrom
Fredin. He was the manager of cost accounting for the metal products division
for Armco Steel in Middleton, Ohio and retired in 1980. Mr. Fredin was a
Emeritus member of the Board of Trustees for the Children Diagnostic Center in
Hamilton, Ohio and was the financial vice president for the Boy Scouts of
America. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the European
Theater. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Surviving are his
wife of 52 years, Florence E. "Fritz" Fredin, Lexington; one daughter, Judi K.
Cox, Monroe, Ohio; three sons, D. Curt Fredin Jr., Lexington, David Moore,
Lexington, William L. (Skip) Hess III, Lexington; six brothers, Vincent F.
Fredin, Sioux Rapids, Iowa, Rexford H. Fredin, Senora, Calif., Lawrence J.
Fredin, California, Reynold A. Fredin, Seattle, Wash., William B. Fredin,
Iowa, Ell C. Fredin, Gilmore City, Iowa; two granddaughters, Jennifer L. Cox,
Julie A. Cox, both of Monroe, Ohio; four grandsons, Jeffrey L. Cox, Jabernash,
Colo., Britt Cox, Jeffrey D. Cox and Gregory D. Cox, all of Monroe, Ohio;
three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, July 11, 1993, at the graveside in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with
the Rev. Lee Zehmer officiating. Memorial gifts may be made to the Lexington
First Aid Crew. Arrangements by Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
