AND DON'T FORGET HEARTBREAK OF PSORIASIS

I AM GRATEFUL to Mary Rigney of Radford (July 5 letter to the editor, "Choice between parties is clear") for clarifying my confusion about what the Democrats really stand for in America. As I have contemplated her comments, I have realized several other realities about the party of the left that she omitted.

First, not only are the Democrats anti-Christian, pro-abortion and pro-homosexual, they are also anti-American, pro-Marxist quiche-eaters! Why, I am sure that their policies of 30 years ago are the cause for our inner-city problems. Also, they are to blame for the San Andreas fault, foot odor, the National Endowment for the Arts, rights of animal sacrifice and the Hubbell Space Telescope being such a flop.

Second, I strongly suspect that the Democrats are responsible for the fall of the last great society that had values and a moral code - the Roman Empire. However, my research into this is not yet complete. I will update you when I am sure.

In the meantime, I hope someone will stop Ms. Rigney and me before we begin to sound like fools. (Oops! Too late.) PETER H. REILLY ROANOKE
