JONES-BASSETT

Sharon Kay Bassett and Kenneth Shawn Jones were married June 12, 1993, in College Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Henrickson officiating. The reception was held at Holiday Inn-Airport. The maid of honor was Michelle Brooks. Bridesmaids were Karma Krouse, Heather Walker and Tanya Williams. Best man was Kenneth G. Jones. Ushers were Darel Fizer, Charles Stewart and Joe Austin. Ringbearer was Dusty Fizer. The guestbook was attended by Laura Fizer. The bride is the daughter of Fred A. Bassett of Boones Mill and JoAn C. Bassett of Roanoke. She graduated from Roanoke College and is employed by Roanoke City Schools. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Jones of Salem. He graduated from Salem High School and Virginia Western Community College. He is employed by Roanoke College. The newlyweds will live in Salem after a wedding trip to Washington, D. C., and Baltimore.
