Angela maria Nicklas and Dr. William Craig Mitchell were married July 3,
1993, in Hidden Valley Country Club with the Rev. Alan and Rev. Kathryn
Rowbotham officiating. The reception was held at Hidden Valley Country Club.
The matron of honor was Danielle Lazenko of San Diego, Calif., cousin of the
bride. The bridesmaids were Melissa Hodge, the bride's aunt; Cheryl Hofer,
friend of the bride; and Sarah Hodge, the bride's cousin. Flowergirls were
Michelle Hodge, cousin of the bride; and Lauren Conrad, niece of the groom.
The best man was was Haney Evans, friend of the groom. The ushers were Dr.
Chris Conrad, brother-in-law of the bride; Darrel Ellis, friend of the groom;
and Stephen Nicklas, brother of the bride. Ringbearer was Meagan Hodge, cousin
of the bride. Wedding consultant was Michele Stockham of Carlsbad, California.
The bride's gown was traditional silk with sweetheart neckline that fell to a
Basque waist, and had puff sleeves. The bodice was detailed with reembroidered
Lyon, pearls, and irridescent sequins. The peplum bouffant skirt was detailed
with lace border that extended to a semi-cathedral train. She carried a
bouquet of ivory and blush roses, casablanca lilies, and accented by Queen
Anne lace. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil J. Nicklas of
Roanoke. She graduated from Cave Spring High school and is currently attending
Virginia Western Community College. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
William Kenneth Mitchell of Winston-Salem. He is a graduate of Oral Roberts
University in Tulsa and Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest. He is
employed by the V.A. Hospital in Salem. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke,
after the wedding trip to Orlando, Florida.
