BAYNES ANNIVERSARY

Harvey and Virginia Baynes are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, July 11, with a reception in their honor at Oakland Baptist Church where they are members. They were married July 5, 1943, in Danville. The event will be hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Larry Rakes. Mrs. Baynes is a homemaker and the former Virginia Green of South Boston, Virginia. Mr. Baynes is retired from EXXON where he was employed for 30 years. They have resided in Roanoke for 38 years.
