LAMB, Helen Hayden, 84, of Vinton, passed away Saturday, July 10, 1993, in
a local nursing home. She was a 50 year member of the First Christian Church
of Vinton, and a lifetime teacher of the Wide Awake Sunday School class. She
was the widow of Richard P. Lamb. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law,
Richard and Linda Lamb, Jacksonville, Fla.; six daughters and sons-in-law,
Margaret (Peggy) and Rev. E. C. Redmond, Bland, Marian and Wes Gray, Thaxton,
Charlotte and Ronnie St.Clair, Roanoke, Barbara and David Johnson, Rome, Ga.,
Sharon and Carl McGee, Goodview, Edie and Joe Hart, Vinton; four brothers and
sisters-in-law, Alvan R. Hayden, Longview, Wash., Edwin V. Hayden, Cincinnati,
Ohio, Wesley F. and Hazel Hayden, Pinehurst, N.C., Kenneth I. and Lois Hayden,
Dayton, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy H. and G. K. (Pete) Short,
Roanoke; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Elbert (Coonie) and Hazel Lamb,
Newcastle; sister-in-law, Josephine Lamb, Ft. Worth, Texas; 15 grandchildren;
five great-granddaughters. Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday, July
13, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel. The Rev. Terry Hodge, Rev. E. C. Redmond, and
the Rev. Holly Phillips will officiate. Interment to follow in Mountain View
Cemetery. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel after noon Monday.
