OBIT HAMILTON, ROY LEVI SR.

HAMILTON, Roy Levi Sr., 67, of Buena Vista, died Monday, July 12, 1993, in Roanoke Rehab Center. He was born in Rockbridge County on May 14, 1926, the son of Lola May Richmond Hamilton of Buena Vista and the late Levi David Hamilton. He was retired from Lees Carpets after 45 years service. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Huffman Hamilton, Buena Vista; two daughters, Debra H. Coleman and Robin H. Thompson, both of Lexington; three sons, Roy Levi Hamilton Jr., James C. Hamilton and Daniel T. Hamilton, all of Buena Vista; five sisters; three brothers; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey, Chad, Chris, Andy, Adam, Benji, Nicholas and Allison. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Buena Vista Baptist Church with Dr. Chip Pendleton officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lomax Funeral Home.
